The Art of Sustainability

Love art

As our society takes on more social responsibility and action, this year DANSIC22 will use art to help people understand, express, share and implement the very complex concept of sustainability.

Today, more than ever, sustainability challenges require us to undergo profound changes and to transform the human-nature relationship, and we strongly believe that art can bring to the surface the significance of this interconnection.

The event

The Art of Sustainability event is intended to provide a perspective on the world in its current state and raise awareness for issues that artists and DANSIC22 members are passionate about.

We believe that art is a powerful tool to help people reflect upon the role they have within the society, help the audience to better understand complex issues, create a sense of community and encourage everyone to take action.

The concept

This year’s project will focus on creating a dynamic sustainable art event to inspire and engage citizens of the Copenhagen community, with a focus on art that is made sustainable, locally and ecologically.

As our society takes on more social responsibility and action, this year we will use art to help people understand, express, share and implement the very complex concept of sustainability.

Today, more than ever, sustainability challenges require us to undergo profound changes and to transform the human-nature relationship, and we strongly believe that art can bring to the surface the significance of this interconnection.
