Our mission is to organise an annual flagship event focused on urgent societal issues. Through strategic partnerships on both national and international levels, we create a platform that raises awareness, sparks dialogue, and explores innovative solutions to systemic social and environmental challenges.
We believe that collective action drives transformation. By engaging students in hands-on projects and cross-sector collaboration, we foster inspiration, creativity, and innovation that can reshape how we think about sustainability and social progress.
Our mission
How it started
DANSIC was founded in 2011 by students in Denmark who wanted a platform to turn ideas into action. At the time, there was no common space where Danish and international students from different fields could come together to explore social innovation and contribute to society through voluntary work.
What began as a small initiative quickly grew through the dedication and hard work of its volunteers. Over the years, DANSIC has evolved into Denmark’s largest student platform for social innovation — a testament to the power of student engagement and collective ambition.
DANSIC is like a phoenix — every year, a new team of volunteers, led by the Board and Executive Team, rebuilds and reimagines the organization around a carefully selected social innovation theme.
Each annual project focuses on a distinct societal challenge, reflecting the ever-changing world around us. With every new team, fresh perspectives, energy, and ideas shape the direction of DANSIC.
At our core, we remain what we have always been: a community of students who believe that together, we can create lasting change.
